Idea: A podcast of candidates in job interviews for different roles, followed by an analysis of their responses from the perspective of the hiring manager.
Interviewing is such a private thing. Most companies don't offer feedback, and candidates -- especially more junior ones -- have no idea how hiring managers are interpreting their responses.
There's a ton "how to ace the interview" podcasts and books, but I haven't seen any that actually do live interviews with real questions, expose the rubric, and score the candidate responses.
A younger me would have loved this. What responses are interesting, what sounds cocky, what sounds cliche. And even better, how someone more experienced on the other side is likely interpreting those words. Otherwise you're just guessing.
Have y'all seen something like this? Might this be interesting to listen to? Would it be valuable?
