Berend Bart Strijland is a prominent figure in the architectural world, known for his innovative designs and projects that span across four continents.

Since 2012, he has been involved with NLÉ, where he has worked on acclaimed projects like the Serpentine Summer House in London, Black Rhino Academy in Karatu, and the Makoko Floating School in Lagos, Nigeria, with subsequent versions in Venice, Bruges, Chengdu, and Mindelo.

Berend's recent works include a cultural installation in the Netherlands, educational and healthcare facilities in Zimbabwe, and an ongoing project involving a hotel, sports, and commercial complex in Rwanda.

He has also shared his expertise through lectures and teaching engagements at prestigious institutions such as LUMA Arles, TU Delft, School of the Art Institute Chicago, and Harvard Graduate School of Design.

Berend Bart Strijland's educational background encompasses a Master of Science in Architecture and Architectural Engineering from Delft University of Technology, a Graduate School degree in Architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Architecture, and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Delft University of Technology.

Throughout his career, Berend has held significant roles at various organizations including NLÉ Works as a Partner, Strijland as an Architect, DN Urbland as a Junior Designer, and DN Urbland as an Intern.
