Dr. Bernadette White is a dedicated fundraising and community engagement professional with over a decade of experience in the non-profit sector.

She holds a PhD in Sociology from Syracuse University, where she specialized in philanthropy and development programs within the Indian American community.

Currently, Dr. White imparts her knowledge as a professor at San Jose State University and SUNY Empire State College, teaching courses on global citizenship, social theory, and gender and development.

She is multilingual, fluent in English, Tamil, and Hindi, and has contributed articles on environmental issues, sustainability, and democracy to academic journals.

Her expertise includes research, teaching, non-profits, editing, writing, SPSS, Salesforce, qualitative and quantitative methods, and international experience.

Dr. White has held various significant roles in multiple organizations, including Executive Director at Cristo Rey San José Jesuit High School & Corporate Work Study Program, Adjunct Professor at San Jose State University, and Vice President of Institutional Giving at Humane Society Silicon Valley, among others.

She is a former volunteer at the AFP Silicon Valley Chapter and has a diverse academic background, including a Master's in Sociology and Public Affairs, and a Bachelor's in Psychology.

Her professional journey includes positions ranging from Outreach Coordinator at Stanford University to Senior Corporate Philanthropy Officer at Second Harvest of Silicon Valley.
