Bernardo Cervantes is a microbial engineer with a passion for microbiome science and the production of value-added chemicals. Bernardo is committed to transitioning cutting-edge technologies from academia to industrial applications.

Bernardo's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiology, Microbiome, and Synthetic Biology from the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and an Associates degree in Chemistry from Orange Coast College.

Throughout his career, Bernardo has been associated with several prominent organizations. He is a Co-Founder of Concerto Biosciences, a startup dedicated to advancing biotechnologies. Previously, he served as a Consultant at the Humboldt Fund and gained valuable experience as an Intern in R&D at Synlogic, Inc. Bernardo has also been a PhD candidate at MIT, a Research Associate at the Dueber Laboratory, and held roles in various capacities in distinguished research groups.
