She started her career at Fisher & Phillips, LLP, focusing on labor, employment, and related litigation.

In 2007, she established her own law firm to cater to small businesses and employees, offering proactive solutions in various areas of workplace law.

Bertha's areas of expertise include discrimination based on race, age, disability, religion, gender, sexual harassment, retaliation, Title VII of The Civil Rights Act of 1964, Florida Civil Rights Act of 1992, and Wage and Hour laws.

She holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Stetson University College of Law, a Masters in Education from Florida A&M University, and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Literature from Florida State University, among other educational achievements.

Bertha is currently the Managing Shareholder at BURRUEZO & BURRUEZO PLLC and serves as the former Owner of My Art Studio.
