Another day, another opportunity to join the team at Virginia Department of Energy in Richmond! 🚀 ⚡ This one is especially close to my heart because it is my previous role: Associate Director for Energy Efficiency. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to oversee several exciting new initiatives and work with a wide array of partners. They will oversee the Inflation Reduction Act-funded Home Energy Rebate programs, statewide consumer energy education and outreach efforts, and energy efficiency workforce development programs. This position will manage and mentor a small team of staff to successfully design and implement these new initiatives. They need to have a vision for the expanded role of energy efficiency in the Commonwealth and desire to work in a dynamic, partnership-oriented, and yes.. sometimes bureaucratic.. work environment. I can't wait to find the perfect person for this critical position!
Virginia Energy is hiring its first Energy Outreach Coordinator! I am really excited about this position. The successful candidate will lead our agency's expanded work on marketing, education and outreach around resources available to residents, nonprofits, and small businesses for energy improvement projects (e.g., efficiency upgrades, solar, EV charging). They will lead an advisory group to develop a consumer energy marketing and outreach strategic plan for Virginia and oversee the launch of Virginia Energy's consumer energy programs one stop shop. This person will play a critical role in streamlining Virginia Energy's communications around programs including Home Energy Rebates and Solar for All. They will need to be a relationship building master and network builder. They will be on my team, so I can't wait to find the right person to lead the charge on this!
