This week's experiences....Sweden and Denmark....amazing countries full of exciting science and tech innovation and great places to meet companies and investors committed to human and animal health, and improving the way we co-exist on our fragile planet! With our teams here I have had such a great week meeting clients and leaders who are working hard and with essential optimism! Biology across industrial settings, new sources of protein, new classes of medicines, ways to diagnose and prevent, clever packaging, logistics solutions, transplantation, wound healing, patient monitoring, just a few of the inspiring topics we've discussed. V inspiring as always! Oh...and not bad food 😋

Huge thanks to the organisers of Bio€quity Europe 2024 for having me as a panellist on the Talent Showcase: “Is your board Rising Above the Noise?”

It was a pleasure discussing topics relating to:

  • board composition, purpose, process and behaviour,
  • differences between private and public boards, geographies,
  • what a good board can do to help in tough times,
  • what the executive team need from their board and vice versa, and
  • the different perspectives on how a board can help a company “rise above the noise”.

All this shared from the points of view of investors, a biotech CEO, and the CEO of a leadership consultancy.

So much to cover and very stimulating!

Thanks also to the panel moderator: Simone Fishburn and all the other panellists: Roel Bulthuis, Fiona MacLaughlin, Rachel Mears, Catherine Pickering, Naveed Siddiqi #BioEquity #BioEquityEurope #lifescience #investment #innovation
