Bijal Shah is an accomplished legal professional with a strong educational background and diverse work experience.

She holds a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from Yale Law School, a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from Harvard University Kennedy School of Government, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Brandeis University.

Currently, Bijal Shah serves as an Associate Professor at ASU Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, where she imparts her knowledge and expertise to future legal professionals.

In the past, she held positions such as Acting Assistant Professor at NYU School of Law, Associate General Counsel at the Executive Office for Immigration Review within the U.S. Department of Justice, and Asylum Law/Policy Quality Assurance at USCIS.

Bijal Shah's professional journey also includes roles like Presidential Management Fellow at various prestigious institutions including the Department of Justice, Department of State, and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Moreover, she has experience as a Kennedy Sheldon Fellow at Harvard University, Mauritian Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, showcasing her versatility and adaptability in different environments.

Outside of her legal and governmental roles, Bijal Shah has showcased her artistic talent as a Jazz Vocalist while also gaining experience in financial analysis during her tenure at UBS Painewebber Inc.
