I’m happy to share that I’m starting an expanded position as Director, Publications & Education Strategy and Services at IEEE-SPS.
With an increased focus on the customer, both internal and external, and with a growing wealth of new educational material, new functions, and staff, the strategic aspect of this management role is expanded to build out complete Publications, Education, and Industry-related product lines for the Society. These will include webinars, blogs, podcasts, live and recorded short and long courses, and providing certifications.
Many new large-scale cross-departmental projects are underway through this position, including mechanisms for proper metadata intake of all educational materials through in-house tools and operational processes; optimizing the website design, reimagining the Society eNewsletter, and curating educational content. Social media engagement and tailoring programs to individual needs are now part of this position's responsibilities.
Recently became a Certified Scrum Product Owner in Agile Methodology and Project Management.
