Bill Mackenzie
Global Sales Executive at Ingram Micro Lifecycle
Bill Mackenzie is a Global Sales Executive at Ingram Micro Lifecycle.1 He has been associated with Ingram Micro for at least 3 years, as evidenced by a LinkedIn post from 2021.1 In his role, Mackenzie appears to be involved in reverse logistics and has commented on industry developments, particularly regarding e-waste and product lifecycles.2
Mackenzie has expressed concerns about the environmental impact of prematurely discontinued tech products. For instance, he commented on Spotify's decision to shut down Car Thing, stating, "It's disheartening to hear that the Car Thing project is being shut down, rendering devices useless after just a few years. This decision contributes to the ever growing e-waste problem, an environmental concern we cannot ignore."2
Given his position at Ingram Micro Lifecycle and his comments, it's likely that Mackenzie's work involves managing the lifecycle of electronic products, including their disposal and recycling, with a focus on environmental sustainability.
Highlights
Spotify,
It's disheartening to hear that the Car Thing project is being shut down, rendering devices useless after just a few years. This decision contributes to the ever growing e-waste problem, an environmental concern we cannot ignore.
I urge Spotify to consider making the Car Thing platform open source, allowing the community to repurpose and extend the life of these devices. Alternatively, providing customers with a safe disposal method, such as partnering with a certified provider of sustainable recycling, would demonstrate your commitment to environmental responsibility.
Let’s work together to find a solution that benefits both the end user and our planet.

Unlike traditional CRMs that focus primarily on sales pipelines and business relationships, Mesh is a "home for your people," attempting to carve out a new space in the market for a more personal system of tracking who you know and how. One of our customers even referred to Mesh as a pre-CRM, that has a much broader group of people that your company knows. Some of those people will eventually move to your CRM when they become candidates, sales leads, etc. Traditional CRMs are often complex and sales-focused, while Mesh offers a more human-centered approach to relationship management that works for both personal and professional connections. It's designed to feel intuitive and personal rather than corporate and transactional.
Mesh takes privacy seriously. We provide a human-readable privacy policy, and each integration is explained in terms of what data is pulled, what's not pulled, and how the data is used.
