Last month #MyCompany hosted the first installation of its Innovation Ignited webinar series, and I was thrilled to have #JNJNeuroscience lead the discussion on “Conversations in Precision Medicine: Digital Diagnostics for Neuroscience." One of the topics of discussion was that increased understanding of neurological diseases is the key to allowing us to intervene earlier and treat patients more precisely. As my colleague Gayle Wittenberg, Ph.D. said, “Precision approaches are not only J&J Neuroscience’s future, but the world’s future.” It’s a reminder for me to remain continuously curious and hungry for deeper understanding. Fiona Elwood PhD also spoke to the importance of partnerships for J&J, backed by two of our collaborators from P1vital and ki:elements, who joined as speakers on this panel. Thanks to Kara Bortone for hosting this important discussion and to the hundreds of innovators who tuned in! Every person and every family deserve to experience aging without the devastating effects of Alzheimer’s disease. At Johnson & Johnson, we’re working hard to pinpoint, slow, and ultimately prevent the progression of neurodegenerative diseases so millions more people will have this chance. At #MyCompany we’re applying proteomics and machine learning to #Alzheimers research to potentially identify subtypes of the disease and usher in a new generation of precision medicine approaches in neurodegeneration. In my latest article, I touch on this critical work, some of which will be presented this weekend at the Alzheimer's Association® International Conference (AAIC) in Philadelphia: https://bit.ly/3Sp6ucN
