Bill Presson is a distinguished professional with more than thirty-five years of experience in the retirement plan arena, showcasing a remarkable journey through various leadership roles in the industry. Bill's career began after he graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. In 1986, he launched his own qualified plan service business, where he honed his expertise in retirement plan design and consulting.
In 2002, Bill's firm merged into Unified Trust Company, NA, where he seamlessly transitioned into the role of Chief Operating Officer. During his tenure until the end of 2002, he was instrumental in establishing operational frameworks that would benefit clients and guide the company towards achieving its strategic goals.
In 2003, Bill joined Warren Averett Benefit Consultants, where he initially oversaw all operations and client service. His leadership was pivotal in enhancing client satisfaction and operational efficiency. Bill later transitioned to focus on business development, consulting, and client relations, further solidifying his reputation in the industry.
Recognizing the growing importance of healthcare reform, Bill took on an additional leadership responsibility in 2013, leading Warren Averett's committee on Healthcare Reform. His insights into the complexities of healthcare legislation provided invaluable guidance to stakeholders and clients navigating the evolving landscape.
In August 2015, Bill expanded his career further by joining EGPS, Inc. His role there focused primarily on supporting growth in new offices and concentrating on consulting and business development. His extensive experience and deep understanding of the retirement plan system have enabled him to mentor and guide organizations striving for success.

Bill Presson’s educational background laid the foundation for his successful career in retirement planning. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Eastern Kentucky University, where he developed critical thinking and analytical skills that have served him well in his professional journey.
Throughout his extensive career, Bill has been recognized for his contributions to the retirement plan industry. He has served on the TPA/Recordkeeper Advisory Panel for TD Ameritrade Trust Company and has taken on leadership roles, including Director for the Relius National Daily User Group. These positions demonstrate his commitment to advancing industry standards and fostering collaboration among key stakeholders.
Community Involvement
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Bill is deeply committed to community service, particularly in the area of special needs advocacy. Until his coaching retirement in 2011, he volunteered as a special needs cheerleading coach. His dedication helped to grow the special needs cheerleading initiative to over 500 teams across the US, Canada, and Great Britain. Bill continues his service to special needs athletes by advising and assisting where necessary, reflecting his passion for making a positive impact in the lives of others.
