Even though I don’t typically say yes to weekend work - I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to attend the Cuidado Casero Foundation Carnaval fundraiser. The colorful decor, samba dancers, and live Latin band were amazing - and more importantly- scholarships were awarded to 16 Hispanic students beginning their studies in nursing, and additional money raised for more scholarships!
This is such an important cause as there is currently a shortage in the nursing field - and Hispanic and Spanish speaking nurses are needed now more than ever. Thank you for the work you are doing for the community Dr. Carmen Santiago and DORICELYS MARTINEZ!
