As a board member of The LA84 Foundation, we are grateful to build new opportunities with great partners! This week all 11 pro sports teams across the Los Angeles metro area joined together to form The Alliance. This initiative, the first of its kind in any major US market, will join forces with LA84’s The Play Equity Fund.
Together we will all play on the same team with the goal of increasing sports and structured play programs for young people in communities of color across Southern California. The organization also aims to address racial injustice while developing educational programs. By putting any and all rivalries aside we aim to break down barriers, fight racial injustice and drive change.
