Bonnie Ferri

Vice Provost for Graduate and Postdoctoral Education at Georgia Institute of Technology

Bonnie H. Ferri is a distinguished Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology and serves as the Vice Provost for Graduate and Postdoctoral Education.

Her exceptional leadership is reflected in her roles as the co-chair of the Creating the Next in Education commission, Associate Chair of the School of ECE, and through various impactful initiatives in curricula, courses, professional development, advising, and faculty development.

With a research focus on embedded control systems and engineering education, Dr. Ferri has garnered prestigious awards like the 2017 IEEE Undergraduate Teaching Award and the 2016 Regent's Award for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.

As a Fellow of the IEEE, she has played a vital role within the IEEE Control Systems Society, including serving on its Board of Governors and recently as the General Chair for the 2022 American Control Conference.

Education-wise, she holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech, an M.S. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.

Prior to her illustrious career in academia, she worked at Honeywell Aerospace, bringing valuable industry experience to her academic pursuits.
