Fact 1: Boris relocated to attend Sofia U/ITP located in the Bay Area. He had a short period to enroll in the program. After talking to staff at ITP/Sofia was informed the school being very small would offer a more personalized approach and so then students would have "better results than attending large public school"
Fact 2: Fast forward 1 year into the "Master's" program, school staff started to discuss administrative issues faced by the school, issues with the presidents, and many of the classes wouldn't be transferable. Additional tracks were added through the 3rd, and 4th year to make the degree more marketable to employers. That approach didn't work. A lot of the teachers weren't credentialed or licensed in the tracking added.
Fact 3: Boris has reached out to the school about a resolution. He's also filed grievances and has yet to hear from the school about the refunds to him and loss of wages while and after leaving the program.
Fact 4: The school was rebranded several times and merged with another school due to the administrative issues faced.
Fact 5: Boris continued trying to reach higher-ups and owners of the school about a resolution, and had to contact state agencies about it.

Like many others, I’ve been impacted by layoffs resulting in long-term unemployment.
I’m incredibly thankful to those I've met to talk about past experiences and potential venues as well as spaces where I’ve volunteered or worked intermittently. I’m deeply fortunate for all the new learning and inclusive opportunities in different forums.
I’m now opening the search for an exciting opportunity in a remote role and team to help with operations or user support.
I’m open to different roles in customer operations, trust/safety, recruiting assistant, user experience support, L & D, content reviewer. In my free time, I like to learn stuff in project management, google sheets, Jira, etc.
I find it remote work tends to be more inclusive while allowing for increased efficiency. I have dedicated work space though I would also be open to remote/hybrid roles.
From a DEI perspective, it’s good for business. Gaining access to a living wage career allows further engagement in the economy. So far I’ve been living very frugally rationing groceries, trips to the store, or stopping other activities altogether.
