Three quick thoughts...
First, I want to thank Matt E. for taking a chance on me 4 years ago. Matt was one of the main reasons I joined Rippling, and he's been an incredible mentor and leader for the team.
One of the biggest lessons I learned from Matt was the importance of thinking outside the box in marketing. Matt's constant push for creativity played a huge role in building a marketing machine that scaled Rippling to an $11b company.
Second, as you can tell by my profile, I have never led a marketing team before at Rippling's scale. Yet here we are. This is just one example of a dynamic that is quite common at Rippling: We are huge believers in upward movement across the entire company.
I can point to tons of examples, both within my own teams and across Rippling, where people have joined, and then achieved a lot more than they thought they were capable of.
Finally, we have huge plans for Rippling over the coming years that will require a lot of building within marketing.
