NEW JOB ALERT!

Y’all, I am so excited to share that this week I joined the incredible team at Push Play Creative as Director of Client Services. Excited doesn’t even come close. Push Play was founded by two unbelievable women that I’ve had the privilege of knowing since the very beginning of my career in the agency world. Both Danielle and Lisa are talented beyond measure and, to no one’s surprise, they have built an outstanding team and equally outstanding reputation in the experiential space. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be back in their orbit. I cannot wait to accomplish amazing things together. It’s truly an honor to be part of this team.

On Wednesday, I was laid off from my job at ADVOC8, marking another season of change in my career—something I've become familiar with over the past year.

If you had told me a year ago that I had two major career changes ahead of me by this spring, I would have had serious concerns about how I would manage that. I'm someone who appreciates a plan, a known and foreseeable future. However, this past year has taught me so much.

When I chose to leave my job last May without another one lined up, I knew it was the right decision for myself, albeit scary and somewhat out of character. It was a proactive move to prioritize my personal well-being over my career for the first time. I am still proud of myself for making that choice. What I didn't realize was that I was granting myself a new perspective on how my career fits into my life, giving myself permission to untether from my job and reprioritize. It also forced me to find comfort in the unknown. Remember the guy who likes a plan? Well, he still does, but he's learned that you don't always need a perfectly paved road to reach your destination.

Today, I am thankful for that lesson, as it has given me the ability to have such a positive outlook on the future of my career despite losing my job. I am so excited to see where this season of change will take me and am already eager to dive in to whatever comes next.
