Highlights
Today would have been Tywanza’s 34th birthday….
I remember him as a young man full of promise and potential.
I had forgotten he was one of my earliest LinkedIn connections from when I first started building out my profile.
I remembered connecting with him as he was very close to some of my younger fraternity brothers.
He had the mindset of an entrepneuer and I saw him being a future leader in the business world.
My interactions were limited but memorable.
He was taken way too soon in a hateful act of evil and cowardice.
He was killed because of the color of his skin…
He was shot while in prayer…
I understand he died protecting others…
In his last moments reports are that Tywanza questioned his murderer directly as to the intent of the attack, and it was clear it was targeted based on race.
I want to honor Tywanza’s memory by sharing how great of a human being he was.
He lived a life of peace and was kind to everyone he met.
Even though it seems he was taken far too soon, his legacy lives on through those who were closest to him.
