Highlights
Tracking new AI applications in corporate travel because, well, everyone is tracking new AI applications in corporate travel.
I'm still raising my hand six months after writing this article, asking for help. Alas.
One thing I have been thinking about - the industry is approaching AI in terms of improving traveler satisfaction and creating efficiencies for travel processes. I'm struggling - are these applications really AI? Is there really value? These are questions, not statements.
I wonder if there is room for an AI application that marries travel data to better business decisions? The answer right now is "not really" but to me that's where AI becomes powerful. Enabling better business decisions around how companies spend money on business travel - ROI, business case, benchmarking, and predictive analytics. I feel a new blog coming on.
In the meantime, someone tell what I'm missing. If you know me then you know I'm always happy to admit when I'm wrong....
Thoughts that occur to me while driving home from GBTA | Global Business Travel Association 2024 or what Lester Bangs may call a "think piece". #BusinessTravel
