My colleague, friend, and co-conspirator, Aubrey Lenyard, is in today's issue of Hypepotamus. Here's what they asked:
What is one piece of advice you’d share with someone looking to build a CPG (consumer packaged goods) space?
And here's Aubrey's brilliant, evidence-based, ain't-it-the-truth answer:
“Customer discovery is crucial when building a CPG brand because it ensures you’re creating a product that truly meets what the market is telling you it actually wants and needs. I tell many food founders, ‘just because your momma likes it doesn’t mean you have a great product. You’ve got to talk to potential customers.’ Understanding your customers’ preferences and pain points early on, you can refine your product, minimize risks, and build a loyal customer base from the start.”
