Breanna Duffy is a skilled tissue engineering scientist with a focus on health, the environment, and food justice. With a background in biomedical engineering and a passion for sustainable practices, she has transitioned to working in cellular agriculture to revolutionize the food industry by cultivating animal products from cell cultures.

Having spent 8 years in biomedical engineering, Breanna now serves as the Director of Responsible Research and Innovation at New Harvest. In this role, she oversees initiatives aimed at harnessing the potential of cellular agriculture to create a more sustainable and fair food system globally. She strives to ensure that advancements in this technology benefit the environment, society, and animals worldwide.

Breanna holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical Engineering from Tufts University, where she maintained an impressive GPA of 3.97 out of 4.00. She also completed her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on Biomaterials at the University of Arizona, achieving a GPA of 3.89 out of 4.00.

Throughout her career, Breanna has held various key roles, including Scientist in Residence at Counterfactual Ventures, PHD Research Assistant in Biomedical Engineering at Tufts University, and Research Assistant at the Orthopedic Research Laboratory at The University of Arizona. She has also contributed as a Discovery Guide at Children's Museum Tucson, showcasing her commitment to education and community engagement in addition to her scientific expertise.
