Highlights
I am really proud of how Washington County celebrated Black History Month this year. In an effort to work within some new guidelines, our celebration committee created an art gallery that was accessible for employees and the community for the entire month. Then, in partnership with Clean Water Services and City of Hillsboro, we hosted a film screening of “Black Art: In the Absence of Light” to highlight the contributions of Black artists and this year’s theme “African Americans and the Arts.” Well done, team!! (We’re not all connected on LinkedIn and I apologize, but tried to tag the group). Thank you for making this celebration so incredible. The feedback I received throughout the month told me people really enjoyed what we did.
