Highlights
Another lesson from Day 2 of the Show Up & Lead Mastermind Event with Cat Del Carmen LLC - “So many people are scared to show up vulnerably.”
Depending on how marginalized our identities are, it may not always be safe for us to show up as our authentic selves, expressing thoughts and feelings vulnerably and having our needs met.
However, school leaders, even those with marginalized identities, possess positional power in their schools. Showing up vulnerably at work could make it safer for our leadership teams, teachers, and students to express themselves too.
After years of not showing up vulnerably or authentically at school or work, how can we start? ▪ Name a feeling and how you’re processing it ▪ Talk about how you’ve changed your mind ▪ Ask an honest question and listen to understand

Today, in Day 2 of the Show Up & Lead Mastermind, Cat Del Carmen LLC encouraged us to think about our clients more.
Our priority as coaches should be to constantly think about ways that we can help our clients move the needle.
We should be on a mission to make sure every person who works with us gets a result they desire.
In schools, this can look like principals constantly thinking about their assistant principals → assistant principals constantly thinking about their teachers → and teachers constantly thinking about their students.
Here’s what we can ask ourselves as we're thinking: ▪ What are their problems? ▪ What do they believe?
