Brendien Mitchell is a dedicated advocate for democracy and social equality, deeply committed to the betterment of America for all. Drawing inspiration from Marian Wright Edelman, he believes in the adage that 'Service is the rent we pay for being.'

He pursued his academic aspirations by earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science and Government/Economics from Howard University, followed by a Master of Professional Studies in Political Management from The Graduate School of Political Management.

With an extensive professional background, Brendien Mitchell has served in various key roles including as a Senior Associate at AFT, Press Secretary/Communications Director at the U.S. House of Representatives, Communications Fellow at the U.S. House of Representatives, Florida Civic Engagement Director at NAACP, Quality Control Coordinator at State Voices, Government Affairs Intern at SAIC, Research Intern at the U.S. House of Representatives, Research Assistant at the Energy and Social Justice Project, Vote Everywhere Fellow at The Andrew Goodman Foundation, and Legislative Intern at the United States Senate.
