Hi all! Know any software engineers or web developers that want to give back during these surreal times? Please share this opportunity to volunteer with Code Nation.
Code Nation is a nonprofit organization that engages professional developers on a volunteer basis to teach web development to students who attend under-resourced high schools in NYC, San Francisco, Oakland, and, most recently, Chicago!
Volunteers teach twice a week for the school year (approximately late August through late May). Each volunteer is part of a four-person team, and is supported by one of Code Nation’s staff members. For the 20-21 school year our programs are in need of volunteers to teach remotely. To learn more, click here to see our flyer, or watch a video of the impact that Code Nation can have on students by clicking here.
Fill out a volunteer application at https://lnkd.in/gYrqtRN and a Code Nation staff member will be in touch. Volunteering is a great way to meet like-minded people while helping youth access careers in tech. We’d love for you to join us!
