The start of the Olympic games in Paris is getting a lot of attention. LA Mayor Bass wrote in an email "Over the next few days we will take advantage of this unique event by meeting with stakeholders from all over the world to help assist small businesses, create local jobs and create lasting environmental and transportation improvements around the 2028 Games."
The LA games are next and I've been looking for ways the city is helping small businesses as the Mayor mentions in her statement. Am I missing something? I know the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce is doing work in this area. Who else is creating pathways that use the Olympics as an economic growth engine that will last beyond the extinguishing of the torch in 2028?
If you are aware of any initiatives in this area, please post in the comments. All small businesses in LA need to know how to best prepare to participate.

We launched TradesNetwork as a way to rethink how small underutilized subcontractors in the construction industry can build their capacity and connect with contract opportunities resulting from the historic government investment in US infrastructure. The current ways of doing business haven't resulted in the board economic development and equitable wealth creation that these projects often promise. We need to do better.
