Highlights
I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief Operating Officer at Camaraderie Clubs Management LLC !
Over the past couple of days I have taken the time to walk both the front nine and back nine here Black Desert Resort.
And it was magical.
Despite the gloomy, rainy and cold winter weather, the course was shining bright – showing it’s true beauty. As I was walking through the light drizzle appreciating the grounds I was walking on, I thought to myself, “does our Superintendent and his team know how much they are appreciated?”
Whether it is in a private club setting, a semi-private club setting or a resort course open to the public – golf course superintendents often don’t get the acknowledgment that they should for the work they do to put forth the best golf product they possible can.
We are not perfect from edge to edge, we know that. We deal with the same issues that 99.9% of all courses deal with, yet over the past couple of days the golf course really showed it’s stunning self to me. So, I want to be sure that I take a moment to say ‘thank you’ to our Superintendent, Ken Yates and his Assistant Superintendent, Jordan Rhodes. Your efforts do not go unnoticed, especially the days and nights that were spent growing in a brand new golf course that has already received several accolades. I can’t wait until we get to show it off to the world in October when the PGA TOUR is here!
And to all Superintendents, thank you.
