While I have been "active" my whole life, I have never been that person who NEEDS to work out every day. I've cycled through various exercise-type phases (treadmill interval running, boxing, basketball, etc) over the years - but nothing ever kept my interest/liking/non-injury to last longer than 6 months.

200 weeks ago - I started my Peloton phase like many people at the time (peak pandemic), and I'm proud to report I found something that has maintained for the past ~4 years. While not every week is the exact same, the Peloton program is something that definitely suits me. Not only is the content robust, diverse, and high quality, but it turns out that the PERSONAL accountability and "gamification" is something I need. Reaching this 200 week streak has been a goal of mine - and when I didn't feel like working out when on a business trip this past month - the goal helped push me to do it.

Working out does make me feel better, more accomplished as I'm doing something for myself. I prefer starting the day with this and find my days when working out are generally better than days that I don't. I do not work out everyday nor do I have that goal (yes - in the past 200 weeks - I probably had streaks of 90 days in a row) but that is not something I found I need -- but 3-4 times per week is what suits me.

I share this mostly to help encourage anyone who says they'll never maintain exercise because they never have... And definitely not to have people ask what my Peloton name is (because sorry - I prefer the PERSONAL motivation). :)

Shout-out John Foley - Funny to think that the side hustle you were so excited to talk to me about back in 2011/12 would be a constant in my life. :) Good job by you!
