Highlights
It's hard to believe that I write this on a Saturday AM, when Mon-Wed of this week was spent doing business as usual - winning new business, taking care of clients, working with my talented team and #SVB colleagues. Now, we don't know what is next, other than we work for the FDIC for 45 days.
Much has been written about what transpired over the past 48 hours, so I won't go into that, but I want to take this opportunity to THANK all of the clients, prospects, investors, friends, family, competitors, co-workers and ecosystem partners who have reached out to express concern and offer support. I have been floored by that, and I owe many of you responses that will be forthcoming.
I owe a special thanks to Robert Sureck for giving me a chance 21 years ago and for being my boss during most of my amazing SVB tenure. It's been so exciting to build what we've built in the DFW and Austin tech ecosystems and to have had so much success helping companies. That has now been brought to an abrupt end, but it won't the change the positive feelings I have about SVB and how thankful I am for the brilliant people I have had the honor to work with.
If you are my co-worker, and you need anything, please reach out as I am here to help or just to talk. There will be much uncertainty over the next few weeks, but I am confident we will get through this together.
We are hiring for our Credit Solutions team in Austin. We are looking for a Vice President to help support our key clients and partners in the Austin market. Great team and a market that we have been a key part of for over 25 years.
If you or anyone in your network are interested in learning more, have 5+ years of technology banking experience, and an interest in Silicon Valley Bank in Austin, please apply or reach out to our recruiter Brett Bailey.
