This one rings so true. I came down with shingles last winter but didn’t turn 50 until last month.
Let me tell you, it was VERY unpleasant. Unfortunately the shingles developed on my head, and it was like someone was hitting me with a hammer every 10 minutes. The worst part was that I was misdiagnosed twice with something else. I went to a new doctor the third time, who finally got it right. If I hadn’t done so, the virus likely would have moved forward causing all sorts of vision problems.
The points here 1) this is for real 2) make sure you follow up if you don’t think you were properly diagnosed and 3) don’t scratch the rash not matter what (that little bald spot on the back of my head is a testament to the scarring that can result).

German destroyer plays “The Imperial March” (Darth Vader’s theme) as it sails on the Thames into London.
Who said the Germans don’t have a sense of humor?
