In 2008, I was welcomed to the Agriculture Future of America staff as a Program Manager. Russ Weathers hired a city kid with little-to-no knowledge of agriculture. For 3 years, I worked alongside the most enthusiastic, committed, thoughtful, idealistic, entrepreneurial, and passionate young people I had ever met. Joel Mathiowetz T.J. Masker Emily Page, CRPC®Andy Otto Claire Masker-King Casey Mattke Delvin Higginson Erica (Seitzer) Boyum Matt Bornhorst Rachel Mehlhaf Lucas Fuess Nancy Barcus Lance Day Jared Spader Jesse Heimer Blake Stowers Kevin Heikes Brad Blaha. Not enough time and space to name them all, and countless others - both on and off LinkedIn. They inspired my work. I am forever grateful for all the lessons they shared with me – and invited me to share with them. The mission to build bridges for young leaders in food and agriculture fueled our "work" every day. I left AFA in 2011, confident that the future was extremely bright. Nearly 15 years later, I am fortunate to be back at AFA, working on behalf of young leaders in agriculture once again. Today is AFA’s Day of Giving, and I support them. I hope you’ll join me. #AFADayOfGiving
