Highlights
There’s such a variety of crossovers between branded company podcasts and the styles of shows from general interest podcasts. Let’s look at the podcast from The Leo Baeck Institute – New York | Berlin:

The Institute is “a research library and archive focused on the history of German-speaking Jews” and they worked with production partner Antica Productions on the podcast. Given the historical storytelling nature of the organization’s focus, they take a clever approach of bringing the true crime - or for pre-podcast reference, Unsolved Mysteries - style to each episode’s story. It doesn’t hurt that they have the recognizable voice and gravitas of actor Mandy Patinkin as the narrator.
Weather forecasting is one of those areas of expertise that has so much complexity under the surface of what most people learn about. There’s a new podcast from The National Weather Desk of NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration to fill that gap:

They’ve been publishing for for over a year and 70 episodes and meteorologist Emily Gracey does a nice job of hitting the sweet spot of interesting science and technical content, with making it entertaining for a more casual weather geek. I listened to their episode with a “wild hurricane hunter” about their experience directly in the path of a major hurricane.
