Energy Week is almost here... I'm especially looking forward to the series of "Between Two Cacti" discussions with Haibin Xu (Shell) and Dominic C. (ExxonMobil) on Tuesday focused on university-industry partnership in #energy, Ira Ehrenpreis (DBL Partners and Tesla Board member) on Wednesday to discuss the explosion of energy #innovation and #venture #capital that we are seeing today and why #investors are flocking to energy right now ... and Luke Bassett (U.S. Department of the Treasury) on Thursday to discuss his recent career transition working with Senator Manchin, where he helped draft the Infrastructure Bill, the Chips and Sciences Act and the Inflation Reduction Act, to the Department of Treasury where he is now helping draft the tax guidance related to the Inflation Reduction Act. We'll discuss a lot of things, but especially highlight some of the opportunities for “new entrants,” such as the Permian Energy Development Lab, in energy project development and finance planning.

In case you missed the on-line registration deadline, you can still register in person at the event. Just stop by...it's FREE and open to the public. Most things are happening in Crum auditorium in the Texas McCombs School of Business' Rowling Hall... Full program is here: https://lnkd.in/gbS2wvPd (March 25-29)

See you there! --Energy Institute, The University of Texas at Austin & The Kay Bailey Hutchison Energy Center
