Commissioning Scientist at Vera C. Rubin Observatory

Brian Stalder is an Associate Commissioning Scientist at Rubin Observatory, formerly known as the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST).13 He is involved in the development and testing of the observatory's camera systems. Stalder played a role in the integration and testing of ComCam, a miniature version of the LSST camera used for telescope commissioning.1 He has been working on preparing ComCam for installation on the actual telescope in Chile, which will pave the way for LSST commissioning and produce the observatory's first images.13
