Our team at Neural Magic submitted our first MLPerf result last week (MLPerf = an industry group governing the rules and submissions for machine learning performance results). The submissions are typically dominated by hardware companies -- but our 175x speedup was not from some shiny new gazillion core ASIC, but from our software engine, DeepSparse! Think of the unlock of deploying state-of-the-art models (Vision and NLP) on commodity CPUs from edge to cloud. The power of software!
