Dr. Brian Tietje is the Dean of the College of Business at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, bringing with him a wealth of experience in academia, leadership, and corporate sales.

With a career spanning over two decades at Cal Poly, Dr. Tietje served as a Professor of Marketing and held various leadership positions, including Vice Provost of International, Graduate, and Extended Education.

His educational background includes a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Washington, an MBA from the University of Hawaii, and a BSBA in Business with a focus on Marketing & Sales from Bowling Green State University.

Dr. Tietje's expertise extends beyond academia; he has practical corporate sales experience with well-known companies like Culligan, Northwestern Mutual, Unilever, and Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products, Inc.

In addition to his academic and corporate roles, Dr. Tietje is an accomplished author and contributor, having co-authored books on business and student success, and also contributing to The Wall Street Journal in the area of marketing.

He has also been actively involved in various organizations, having served on boards of directors for several entities, including the Economic Vitality Corporation and Family Care Network, Inc.

Dr. Tietje's consulting experience covers areas such as strategic planning facilitation, higher education program development, and student success initiatives, emphasizing professional development for faculty and staff.

His academic research interests include branding, consumer psychology, and implicit social cognition, further solidifying his expertise in the field of marketing and education.
