Brian W Tang is an accomplished professional with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in finance, law, and technology.

He holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment, Corporate Finance from the Securities Institute of Australia, a Company Director's Course Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors, an LLM in Corporate finance and international law from New York University School of Law, and a Combined LL.B (Hons) and BA in Law, Political Science from The University of Western Australia.

Brian has been actively involved in various prestigious organizations, including serving as the Founding Executive Director of LITE Lab@HKU at The University of Hong Kong.

In addition to his role at LITE Lab@HKU, Brian has held numerous advisory and leadership positions, such as being a former Member Of the Board Of Advisors at Merlin Legal Open Source Foundation, a former Steering Committee Member at Asia-Pacific Legal Innovation & Technology Association (ALITA), and a former Advisory Board Member at HKU Fintech Index Project.

Brian's contributions extend to the realm of policy and regulation, where he served as a former Policy Committee member for the IEEE Global AI Ethics Initiative at IEEE Standards Association and Co-chair of the Regtech Committee at FinTech Association of Hong Kong.

Furthermore, Brian has a wealth of experience in the financial sector, having held positions such as Managing Director at ACMI, Director & Counsel at Credit Suisse, and Senior Associate in Corporate & Finance, Technology, and Project Finance groups at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP.

His legal expertise includes roles as a Solicitor in the Corporate, Resources, and Energy group at Mallesons Stephen Jaques, showcasing his versatility across different areas of law and finance.

Brian W Tang is also known for his commitment to fostering talent and innovation, as evidenced by his role as the Founder of Young Makers & ChangeMakers and his former position as Honorary Fellow at the Asian Institute of International Financial Law at The University of Hong Kong.
