Education and Achievements
Bulbul's educational journey is as diverse as her career. She began her studies at Cambrian Hall in Dehradun, where she completed the Indian School Certificate (ISC) in Science. Following this, she attended Sacred Heart School in Himachal Pradesh, laying the groundwork for her academic pursuits. Her passion for the sciences led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Chemistry, Botany, and Physics at Miranda House, Delhi University.
In addition to her science background, Bulbul also studied design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in New Delhi. This combination of education in both science and design reflects her multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving and creativity in education. Bulbul’s formal training in design complements her strong scientific foundation, enabling her to approach educational challenges from a unique perspective.
Throughout her career, Bulbul has held a variety of prestigious positions, including Dean of Admissions, Outreach, and International Collaborations at ISDI Mumbai, and Director of Admissions, Outreach and Academic Collaborations at ISDI Parsons Mumbai. Prior to her current role, she served as the National Sales Head at Pearl Academy and held various leadership positions, including Director at Pearl Academy in Mumbai and Regional Director at Wigan & Leigh College (India) Ltd. Her extensive experience in these roles has provided her with valuable insights into student needs and institutional goals, fostering a holistic approach to education.
Additionally, Bulbul’s early career saw her working as an Assistant Professor at NIFT in both New Delhi and Hyderabad, where she nurtured and mentored aspiring designers. Her hands-on experience as a Merchandiser for American buyers such as GAP, DKNY, CK, and Liz Claiborne at ABC Leathers in New Delhi adds another layer to her multifaceted understanding of the design industry and its relation to education.
