Byron Ransom is a dedicated professional with a wealth of experience in brand management and marketing within the food industry. As the Brand Manager for SunChips at PepsiCo, he oversees various aspects of marketing strategy, including innovation planning, consumer strategy, media and equity building, social media planning, cross-functional coordination, and in-store execution for the $400MM brand. Additionally, Byron leads and manages Frito-Lay's healthier nutrition portfolio, which includes brands like SunChips, Stacy's, Smartfood, Popcorners, and Off The Eaten Path, spearheading marketing programs such as 'New Year New You' and 'Back To School'. Before his role at SunChips, Byron was an Associate Manager for Consumer Insights at PepsiCo, where he conducted consumer testing and research to integrate the consumer's voice into portfolio-wide business plans, focusing on areas like sustainable packaging, reduced packaging, and healthier product claims. Prior to joining PepsiCo, Byron honed his skills as a Management Consultant at Ernst & Young, leading teams on projects for Fortune 500 firms centered around new product development, industry assessment, consumer experience transformation, performance improvement, and market growth. Byron holds an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and a Bachelor's Degree in Consulting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill - Kenan-Flagler Business School.
