It happened.

I officially have 310 Wealth Planning branded hats.

I can now tell you more than my fair share about Richardson 112 hats.

Not only the 112, but their entire lineup.

I might have gone a little overboard when I ordered 6 different colors for myself and 1 additional color for my wife.

But I regret nothing.

Because I suppose it falls under the marketing budget.

"𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗯𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁"

That's what I told my client this week.

My client doesn't make a million dollars a year.

So why did I feel comfortable making that statement?

Because not everyone needs to follow a budget.

I know my client well, and I know that he doesn't have a propensity to overspend.

Just the opposite.

For some, monitoring their cashflow by the balance in their checking account is enough.

In this case, a snapshot cashflow statement is sufficient for him to visualize where his money is going.

A budget is a great way to initiate and train good financial behavior...

But if the good habits are already there...

And negative cash flow/overspending isn't an issue...

A budget seems redundant.
