Highlights
A little late to celebrate, but I wanted to post about a wonderful @LadiesThatUXChi event that took place on June 18th at Hyatt Hotels Corporation HQ.
The indomitable Eve Eden of EVE | UX Design Agency taught a packed, rapt board room about design principles. The inimitable Alicia Warren Hossein MC’d flawlessly and lawlessly. The lot of us then waxed poetic about interdisciplinary design, deepened the roots and expanded the branches of our creative networks, and scarfed down pizza by the beautiful riverside as the sun set in lovely, balmy, summer Chicago.
I’d like to thank our magnanimous friend and supporter Erik Pedersen- Director of UX at Hyatt- for hosting, the bright lights Max Gerdes and Shane Tarplee of Tech in Motion and Motion Recruitment for promoting and attending, and of course our wonderul sponsors at Askable for filling our bellies and cheering us on.
To others who attended, it was great to see you!! We hope to meet up again soon!!
Askable we can’t wait until you land here in late summer!
Hi all. Inspired by a convo with my brilliant colleague Alicia Warren Hossein and the ongoing influence of my super polymath visionary boss Ash Jogalekar, I am challenging myself to supercharge my design history game. I find that writing is a natural catalyst for learning new stuff, so I am going to explore what it means to write articles/ blog posts about different design history topics. The first topic I am considering is the history of the concept 'iconic'. Any angles of this idea you'd like to see explored? Post'em here please!!
