Christina Hoffman

Mechanical Engineering Graduate Student at UMBC

Caitlin Hoffman is a graduate student at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) majoring in Mechanical Engineering.

She has developed skills in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MATLAB, Microsoft Office, and Autodesk Inventor through coursework at UMBC and practical experiences.

Caitlin has conducted research at Southern University of Baton Rouge (SUBR), UMBC, and Johns Hopkins University, focusing on wind turbine design, thermoelectric inks, and material testing.

She gained valuable experience in conducting testing independently and effectively communicating results with project teams.

Caitlin worked as a teaching fellow at UMBC, assisting students in the Introduction to Engineering course and enhancing her leadership and teaching abilities.

Her design engineering intern role at Regal Beloit Corporation involved creating drawings in AutoCAD, 3D modeling in SolidWorks, and working on a project to increase safety and product quality through innovative solutions.

Caitlin holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at UMBC.
