Had an outstanding gathering of African leaders for the One Earth Leadership Dialogues in the beautiful Beechwood Gardens of Johannesburg, South Africa.  Under discussion was an all-life orientation to leadership and the purpose of business in addressing some of the most daunting challenges to the wellbeing of people and the planet.  Member organizations in the One Earth Leadership Consortium at the gathering were Rand Mutual Assurance (RMA), Halls Group, and Idea Engineers and were represented by Nadeem Kyle Fredericks, Pieter Wessels, and Shauneen Procter and Katlego Mahura, respectively.  Also present were community members Valter Adão, Arnold Meyer, Bonang Mohale, and our host, Lyal White.

Guests included Dr Sane Ngidi (she/her/hers) from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Meeta Dullabh and Alisha Gopchund-Lutchman from Saint-Gobain, Steve Briggs from VulaCoin, Bruce Hunt from Transcend, and Kathryn van Dongen, CA(SA) MBA from PMX.

One highlight among many was RMA's transformation journey illustrated by Kyle Fredericks.  As a company who administers workman's compensation programs for the mining and minerals industries of South Africa, Kyle illustrated how Rand Mutual has taken that a step further in supporting development projects in mining communities that provide life altering pathways for injured and pensioned miners, their families, and communities through creation of hydroponic production systems.

Another highlight for me was being in dialogue with our expanding community sitting among the trees.  As one participant noted, this was one of his best Mondays.
