Candace Vahlsing is a highly accomplished professional known for her extensive expertise in environmental health sciences and public policy.

She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Environmental Health Sciences, a Master of Public Policy (MPP) from the Goldman School of Public Policy, a Master of Science (MS) in Global Health and Environment, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in International Environmental Policy.

Candace has an impressive work history, having served in key roles in prestigious organizations. She was the Associate Director for Climate, Energy, Environment, and Science at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) within The White House.

Prior to that, she was the Lead for Climate, Natural Resources, and Science Policy on the Domestic and Economic Policy Team during the Biden-Harris Transition.

Her experience also includes being the Science and Technology Policy Advisor to the Chair at the California Air Resources Board and the Senior Advisor & Minority Staff Director of the U.S. Senate Finance Subcommittee for Energy for U.S. Senator Michael F. Bennet.

Candace Vahlsing has a background working in different capacities related to energy and climate change policies. She previously held positions such as the Senior Policy Advisor for Energy and Climate Change at The White House, Special Assistant for Energy and Climate Change at the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) at The White House, and Energy and Environment Policy Advisor at Obama for America.

Moreover, she was involved in the Office of the Chairman and the Office of Climate Change at the California Air Resources Board, showcasing her in-depth involvement in environmental and energy matters at both federal and state levels.
