Capucine Richard is a senior at Brown University, majoring in Political Science with a focus on data science. With a strong interest in emerging markets and fintech, Capucine has gained experience through internships at the ING innovation lab, Pharo management hedge fund, and as a data science fellow at Brown. As a fellow within the Data Science Initiative, Capucine assists a faculty member in applying data science to research and teaching.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Capucine co-founded Brown Obscur, a music label and event organization that specializes in techno and house music events in Providence, attracting crowds of 500-700 attendees. Passionate about introducing dance music to Rhode Island, the project has seen internationally-known DJs perform at their events.
