Caralyn Cooley
EVP, Chief People Officer at Bowery Farming
Caralyn Cooley is no longer the EVP and Chief People Officer at Bowery Farming. She has recently taken on a new role as the Chief People Officer (CPO) at FanDuel, a premier online gaming company in North America.13
Cooley joined FanDuel in September 2024 as a seasoned multi-time CPO with extensive experience in scaling global operations, shaping unique cultures, and guiding teams through periods of intense growth.1 In her role at FanDuel, she is responsible for:
- Leading the company's people organization
- Overseeing human resources, talent acquisition, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) initiatives
- Managing organizational effectiveness, employee branding, training, and development
- Handling compensation and employee benefits for FanDuel's Casino, Sports, and Operations business units13
Prior to joining FanDuel, Cooley served as the Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer at Bowery Farming, a U.S. vertical farming company. During her tenure there, she:
- Helped grow the company from a proof-of-concept farm to the largest vertical farming company in the United States
- Built a talent model for global scaling
- Designed a comprehensive compensation strategy
- Created a holistic diversity, equity, and inclusion program
- Led the company's business continuity response during the COVID-19 pandemic13
Before Bowery Farming, Cooley held the position of Chief People Officer at Nordeus from 2017 to 2019, a gaming studio known for developing Top Eleven, a successful mobile sports game.1
Cooley holds a Master's degree in Industrial & Labor Relations from Cornell University and a Bachelor's of Science in Human Resource Management from State University of New York-Oswego. She is an avid sports fan and a New York Jets season ticket holder.14
As of February 2025, Cooley has completed her first three months at FanDuel and has been actively involved in the company's operations.25
