I’ve been a DOJ Accredited Representative at World Relief for nearly one year now, so it’s time to do a year in review! Let’s look at the numbers.
I’ve done 117 legal consultations to screen for eligibility for immigration relief, let people know what their options are, and help get them started on their immigration process.
I’ve filed 46 new immigration applications for new and existing clients and am currently working on 11 more.
I’ve responded to 7 Requests for Evidence asking for additional documentation on cases filed by clients’ former legal representatives.
I’ve staffed 9 citizenship clinics, 4 DACA renewal clinics, 1 Temporary Protected Status clinic, and 3 work permit/change of venue clinics for recent southern border arrivals. Each clinic served 30-75 clients.
I’ve learned how to do 8 new (to me) process types. They are: DACA renewals, green cards for Refugees, Refugee Travel Documents, Military Parole-in-Place, T-visas for survivors of human trafficking, Ukrainian Re-Parole, I-730s for Relatives of Asylees or Refugees, and I-929s for Relatives of U-Visa Holders).
And I did all of this while managing a caseload of 193 active cases!
I’m pleased with what I’ve been able to accomplish so far at World Relief and look forward to helping many more immigrant and refugee clients in the coming years.
