Carlos Ayalde is currently the General Manager, New Product at Stori, a Mexican FinTech startup that provides payment cards and high-interest deposit accounts to underbanked consumers.12 Stori is expanding into Colombia with Ayalde at the helm, investing $100 million over three years.2

Prior to his current role, Ayalde held the position of Head of Payments & Fraud Prevention at Rappi.13 He also served as an Advisor at trii - Colombia, the first app in Colombia that allows users to trade Colombian stocks in local currency.1 His experience includes roles such as Commercial Strategy Director at Credicorp Capital, External Advisor at McKinsey & Company, and Managing Partner at SCI Investment and Merchant Bank.1

Ayalde's earlier positions include Engagement Manager and Associate at McKinsey & Company, as well as Co-President of Microlumbia, a non-profit organization focused on microfinance development.1 He was also the Co-founder and COO of Tiny Kitchen Brands, an organic beverage company.1 Ayalde's career began with M&A work at Rothschild.1
