Carly Smolak is a dedicated professional with a rich background in sustainable product development and commercialization in the plant-based food and beverage industry. She holds an MBA in Sustainable Business from Presidio Graduate School and a BA in Anthropological Sciences from Stanford University, focusing on the interaction between humans, culture, biology, and the environment.

Carly's commitment to ocean health led her to serve as a Packard Fellow for the Monterey Bay Aquarium's Sustainable Seafood Initiative. She actively collaborates with packaged food companies to minimize plastic waste, showing her strong advocacy for environmental causes.

On the sports front, Carly has a remarkable history as a lifelong athlete, excelling in soccer at Stanford University and professionally in the WUSA. She also showcased her skills as a member of the US Australian Rules Football National Team and currently serves as the head coach of the four-time national Champion SF Iron Maidens.

Her diverse skill set includes expertise in environmentalism, sustainable food systems, business strategy, purchasing, planning, communication, inventory management, sports, and sustainable business consulting.

Originally from Portland, Oregon, Carly now calls San Diego, California home. In her free time, she enjoys surfing, fermenting various foods, writing, gardening, building, and tinkering in her garage, showcasing a versatile range of interests and hobbies.
